Four indoor courts
A dedicated indoor setup means the venue is built around pickleball rather than shared across multiple sports.
Dedicated indoor pickleball · Tauranga
Pickleball Park NZ was created as a purpose-built home for the game: indoor courts, individual fencing and a surface designed for pickleball rather than a multi-sport hall conversion.

The court setup
A dedicated indoor setup means the venue is built around pickleball rather than shared across multiple sports.
Courts are individually fenced, helping keep play contained and reducing stray-ball interruptions.
The acrylic-based gritty court surface is designed to give the ball the response the game expects.

A local home for the game
Pickleball Park NZ opened in Tauranga in 2026 as a family-owned dedicated indoor pickleball facility created by Holly and Shawn Barabash.
The goal is bigger than court hire: give beginners a low-barrier way in, regular players a better place to play and the wider community somewhere to connect around the game.
Around the courts
Use the same facility for beginner sessions, social play, coaching and structured skills development.
On-site coffee, cold drinks and snacks add an easy before-or-after-game stop.
Browse pickleball gear, use the seating/lounge space and make use of the dedicated children's play area.

Family-owned
The Park grew from a family's experience of dedicated pickleball facilities overseas and a belief that Tauranga could support the same mix of accessible sport and community.
That family-owned character should stay visible in the venue experience: serious about the quality of play, but never designed to feel exclusive.

Good Shot + pro shop
Good Shot provides barista-made coffee, drinks and snacks, while the pro shop gives players access to pickleball equipment on site.
Brand stock and café offerings can change, so the website does not maintain a static catalogue.
